Carol Marin: Ald. Brookins hires new worker — Todd Stroger

By CAROL MARIN May 16, 2014 11:10PM  Chicago Sun Times

Brace yourself, citizens of Chicago.

Todd Stroger is returning to a government payroll near you.

Hi Carol:
Simply call this story "Ditto"...

Perhaps you will find the story of Ellen Barry even more appealing as she is now making over $200,000 per year at taxpayer expense at the Water Reclamation District after being unemployable since June 30, 2010 when she was forced to retire as CIO at MPEA.

Check out this story boot, Barry is collecting her pension from MPEA every month in addition to this "temporary" appointment. In addition, she recently hired her former underling, Rich Piotrowski at $125K per year after he bounced around from MPEA, as well.

Both Ellen & Piotrowski obtained these jobs via "more qualified than others"...wink, wink, nod, nod...

Ah, cronyism is alive and well...and where is Shakman in all this??
